School Libraries Project

3 Ways to Support the School Libraries Project

1. Make a donation. Your support will help provide the School Libraries Project with the resources needed to renovate these eight public school libraries.  All donations are tax deductible and will be recognized in the annual report of the Capitol Hill Community Foundation.  Donations of $10,000 or more are recognized on a donor display in each library.

Online donations can be made through Touchdc.org (Donations will go through the Capitol Hill Community Foundation; please specify "School Libraries Project" in the designation line of the online donation form).

Donations can be mailed to
The Capitol Hill Community Foundation’s
School Libraries Project
419 East Capitol Street, SE
Washington, DC 20003

2. Volunteer on a Library Renewal Team. Each school library will need volunteers to help with pre and post construction efforts, especially with the activities and programs once the library is re-opened.  Please contact us at caphillfoundation.org@verizon.net if you would like to volunteer.

3. Spread the word about the changes coming to Capitol Hill neighborhood school libraries!  The more everyone knows, including students, parents, school administrators and members of your community, the more successful our renewal will be.
